KHAIRAH / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Khairah handles information when you use its applications on iOS, Android, and Windows, its web app, and khairah.app. It applies to every Khairah product or service that links to this Policy.

1. Scope

Khairah does not require an account. Khairah contains no advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking tools and does not sell personal data. This Policy does not apply to external websites, applications, or stores opened from Khairah; those services are governed by their operators’ policies.

2. Data stored on your device

Khairah stores the data needed to provide features and remember your choices locally. Depending on the platform and features you use, this may include app preferences; prayer and notification settings; selected locations; Quran reading position, Khatmah progress, and favorites; Tasbeeh counts; widget settings; and Quran audio you download. Khairah may share a limited portion of this data with its extensions or your linked devices using facilities provided by the operating system.

The app does not send this local data to the developer, and Khairah provides no account-based synchronization. Operating-system backups may include Khairah data according to your device settings.

The web app uses browser local storage to retain language, appearance, and app settings. The public website does not store app preferences or request your location. Neither the website nor the web app uses cookies.

3. Permissions and device capabilities

Location access is optional and requested when you use a feature that needs it. Khairah uses location to calculate prayer times, point toward the Qibla, and find nearby mosques. You may choose a location manually instead. Khairah retains the last successful location on your device, does not track location in the background, and does not create a movement history.

Device-heading readings are processed locally while you use the Qibla compass. Notification and alarm permissions are used to display reminders you select. Khairah does not read your photo library; when you save an image created by Khairah, access is limited to adding the image you asked to save.

4. Network and third-party services

When you use a feature that requires a network connection, the provider completing the request receives ordinary technical connection data, such as your IP address, request time, browser or app type, and requested resource. A provider may retain operational and security logs under its own policy. Khairah uses the following services:

  • Hosting and content-delivery providers make Khairah sites and files available.
  • Mapping and geocoding services provided by the operating system search for and label places and find nearby mosques. On the web and Windows, Khairah uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim to label a location. These services may receive search text, coordinates, or a search area.
  • MP3Quran and the audio hosts listed in its catalog, including Qurango and Radiojar, provide the reciter catalog and play or download the recitation or radio station you select.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android delivers Khairah updates. It processes an app installation identifier, a push token, the app language, and the device region. You can disable Khairah updates in the app’s notification settings.
  • Sharing services, map applications, and Telegram receive content or a destination only when you choose to share content or open an external service.

5. Optional support purchases

Where an optional purchase to support Khairah is offered, Apple or Google processes the purchase, payment, billing, refunds, and purchase history. Khairah receives the product and transaction status needed to complete the purchase; the developer does not receive your card details or payment credentials. A support purchase unlocks no additional features or content.

6. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local data remains on your device until you change it, reset or delete the relevant feature data, or delete the app. Downloaded audio remains until you remove the download or the app. You can change or revoke permissions in system settings. A copy may remain in an operating-system backup.

The developer does not maintain a Khairah server profile for you to access, export, or delete. Messages you send to the developer are retained only as needed to respond and follow up. Purchase and external-service records are subject to the policies of the providers that operate them.

7. Data security

Khairah uses encrypted connections when communicating with network services. Local data is protected by operating-system app isolation and device security. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Children’s privacy

Khairah is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. It does not ask for age or create children’s accounts. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal data to the developer in a support message may request its review and deletion.

9. Changes and contact

This Policy may be updated if Khairah’s features or practices change. A new updated date will be shown when a revision is published.

For privacy questions or requests, contact Khairah’s developer by email or Telegram using the links below. Please do not send sensitive data that is unnecessary to handle your request.
